This workgroup focuses on raising awareness of the harms of substance use during the perinatal period, as well as linking families to harm reduction and recovery resources.
Workgroup Goal: By September 30, 2025, the WMPQC Substance Use Workgroup will establish or improve 3 formal referral pathways between partners who serve perinatal patients and partners who provide substance use treatment to the perinatal population.
This workgroup concentrates on increasing the utilization of already existing home visitation services in Region 4.
Workgroup Goal: By September 30, 2025, the Region 4 Home Visiting Workgroup and partnering organizations, will increase the number of immediate family members/support persons participating in home visiting appointments.
This workgroup aims to educate and destigmatize mental health needs among perinatal families.
Workgroup Goal: By September 30, 2025, the WMPQC Mental Health Workgroup will raise awareness, educate, and support perinatal & postnatal mental health by using the power of stories to highlight the experiences and challenges of birthing people and their families.
